Sapporo orientation is on Monday and Tuesday. It offers more training workshops and information specific to life in Hokkaido. As Japan's largest prefecture, Hokkaido is also subdivided into five smaller areas and JETs in each area can get information about more local resources and services.
Since the workshops start early on Monday, many of us who live father away traveled down to Sapporo on Sunday to stay an extra night.
