Sapporo, continued

I went to an arcade. This bizarre reptile lady was on the sign.
Here's an Anpanman ride.
A plate of meate? This was confusing.
Oh, that's what it's supposed to say.
This made-up Moai was by the photobooths.

Here are some pictures of Odori Park.

The Sapporo beer garden. We messed up and got Suntori instead of Sapporo, not realizing there were more locations to buy beer. (I didn't actually drink any.)

More pictures around Sapporo. Being in a big city sure is different from being in my little town.

Another pet shop! So cute.

 It's so cute.
Does every big city in Japan have a Ferris wheel?

I went out for dinner with a group of 5 other ALTs, and one of their supervisors, who was a really cool guy. They asked him to recommend a good local restaurant with nomihodai (all-you-can-drink), and this is where he took us.

 "Super Strong Chicken."
The sashimi was SO GOOD.

And cheaper than the prices in Vancouver, too. These boats were 1000 yen each.

We also got fried chicken, which in Hokkaido is called zangi, not karaage. They get upset if you call it by the wrong name, but not everyone agrees on what the difference actually is, or if there even is one apart from a dialectical change.
 Grilled mackerel.
Some crab croquettes, fried squid, and chicken cartilage.
We also paid a set price for the drinks. Even with that, the price per person was under 3000 yen, and I enjoyed some Japanese non-alcoholic drinks.

After dinner, we did karaoke. I even sang some Japanese songs. The room was too dark to get any good pictures, though. Here are some final pictures from that night.
