The fifth graders made pictures in groups about countries they want to visit.
This is the example poster I made. I chose Switzerland.
The template is: I want to go to ____.
I can see ____.
I can eat ____.
I can buy ____.
Two groups chose Canada! That's supposed to be the aurora borealis in the bottom right.
Lobster and maple syrup.
Those were examples in the textbook, so I'm assuming they didn't do any actual research.
Two groups chose the US.
One group chose France.
They were confused about whether the mug they drew had coffee or a chocolate drink in it.
And the last one chose Egypt. They drew a pretty good Sphinx! Nobody knew what baklava is.
There was a cat at the BoE today, too. What a cutie.
