Higashikawa Christmas Party

This Saturday I volunteered at a Christmas event at the Higashikawa town hall.

Here's a little "don't jingle the bells" obstacle course game for the kids.

Here's limbo where you have to strap on a Santa belly.
We also had paper cup games and a "snow shoveling game", which involved carrying cotton balls between buckets using a spoon. There were crafts for Santa faces and Christmas trees, and the kids could make green jelly with sugar and flavour crystals.

The kids were so cute in their Christmas clothes.

After the event wrapped up, the volunteers all had a pizza party at an Italian style place.
The Japanese owner had traveled to Italy, where he fell in love with pizza. He learned how to build the authentic wood-burning oven there and when he got back to Japan he built his own oven himself. Many of their ingredients are sourced from Italy as well.
You'd better believe I took pictures of all our pizzas.
